Akure, Ondo State — The management of Sunview Hotel, Akure, has dismissed trending reports alleging that a guest went missing within its premises, describing the claims as unfounded and misleading.

In a statement released by the hotel management, concerns were raised over the “distress and panic” caused by the reports, which have spread across social and traditional media platforms. The hotel, however, maintained that no incident of kidnapping or criminal activity occurred on its premises.

According to the clarification, the guest in question was part of a workshop hosted at the facility and checked in alongside other participants. On the final day of the programme, while other attendees had checked out, hotel staff discovered that the guest’s belongings were still in his room.

“When contacted, the organizers of the event informed our front desk staff that the guest had to leave for an official assignment and requested that his luggage be removed from the room to avoid additional charges. This is the simple truth behind the misunderstanding,” the statement read.

The hotel assured that it operates under strict security measures, including round-the-clock surveillance and professional security personnel, to guarantee the safety of its clients.

“We want to assure our valued guests, partners, and the general public that we take the safety and security of everyone on our premises very seriously. A thorough review of our security records, surveillance footage, and incident reports confirm that no kidnapping incident or any criminal activity occurred at our hotel,” the management added.

Sunview Hotel further disclosed that it is working closely with the family of the said guest as well as relevant authorities to verify facts and prevent the spread of misinformation capable of tarnishing its reputation.

The statement urged the public and media outlets to rely only on verified information from official channels while disregarding “false allegations.”

“At Sunview Hotel, we remain dedicated to providing world-class hospitality services in an environment of safety, trust, and transparency,” the management affirmed.

Sunview Hotel as far as I know it, cannot get involved in such a thing.

I want to believe there are some enemies involved in this matter, and I know soonest, God will expose them.

Sunview is a reputable hotel in Ondo state and the safest place for me whenever I’m in Nigeria. It’s known for its age long integrity.

I urge the management of the hotel to work with the family and government to get root of this matter.

    Thank you and God bless
