“..says Obe’s remarks do not represent the party’s position

The leadership of the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has announced that it has set up a reconciliation committee to handle the lingering crisis that arose from the party’s primary election.

This was disclosed by the state’s APC chairman, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, while addressing journalists at the NUJ press centre in Akure on Friday.

According to him, the committee, which is headed by the Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Commission, Prince Biyi Poroye, is saddled with the responsibility of bringing the aggrieved parties together to forestall the breakdown of internal democracy within the party.

Responding to the remarks made by the former Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Rasaq Obe, on national television, Kolawole described them as his personal opinion, which did not represent the position of the party in Ondo State.
