A House of Representatives aspirant for Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, Engr. Adebayo Adesida, has picked the nomination form of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) after emerging as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general election.

The nomination form was presented to the party’s candidate on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the ADC Secretariat in Akure by the party’s Organising Secretary, Engr. Dare.

Speaking shortly after receiving the form, Adesida expressed confidence in his ability to bring positive change to the constituency if elected.

“I am here to pick up the nomination form as the candidate for the House of Representatives for Owo/Ose Federal Constituency on the platform of the ADC, and I have picked it up.

“I am contesting for this position under the ADC because I believe I can perform better than the current occupant of the seat, who has spent eight years in office. I can do better, and I am confident that I will do better.” he affirmed.

Adesida said he chose the ADC because he believes the party offers an alternative for Nigerians seeking change.

“I am choosing the ADC because it is a party that has come to rescue Nigeria from the clutches of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which has been running the government in a way that is bringing hardship to Nigerians. We want to make positive changes and provide better leadership for the people,” he said.

He highlighted his  four cardinal programmes as Infrastructural Transformation; Grassroots Security and Human Capital Protection; Economic Empowerment through Vocational Technology; and Equitable Representation & Inclusivity.
