Ondo NSCDC played friendly match with foreign based footballers

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo Command Sports Unit organised a friendly football match in honour of the State Commandant, Hammed Abodunrin on Friday 23rd July, 2021 at the Ondo State Sports Stadium main bowl, Akure.

The friendly match commenced by 1640 hrs with a kick off shot by HOD Training and Supervisory Head of Sports Unit of the Command, DC Kosomolate Bola-Ajayi; some of the players who represented the Ondo NSCDC are: DC. Francis Obinna-Chika, SC Aneruoye Sola, SC Stephen Omojohanu, DSC Sukanmi Akerele amongst others.

The foreign based players who played against the NSCDC Team are: Kolawole Peter(aka: AGALI), Okoro Bajowa playing for DeriDewa Ethiopia, Tunde Adeniji playing for Al-Fayha, Gold Busayo(Goal keeper), Femi Ojo and a host of others, the match though a friendly one was commended generally for the exhibition of talents especially as the NSCDC Team made outstanding attempt to equalize the match which later ended in 1-0 against them.

The State Commandant, Hammed Abodunrin who was conspicously present during the Match commended the performance of both Team affirming that stress could be allayed by engaging in Sports activities which automatically will douse unnecessary tention. He promised to sustain and support such during the course of his leadership at the Command.

The occasion was glamoured with congratulatory handshake and presentation of ADENIJI FOOTBALL JERSEY to the State Commandant.
