*Monarch, Traditional Council Laud Gov. Aiyedatiwa and APC’s Choice of Daramola, Pledge Unwavering Support*

The All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus aspirant for the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Dr. Olumuyiwa Daramola (DOD), on Saturday received royal blessings from His Royal Majesty, Oba Williams Akinmusayo Akinlade, the Halu of Ode-Aye, during a courtesy visit to the monarch’s palace.

The delegation, led by respected party chieftain and community leader, Hon. Wale Ogunmade, a former Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, accompanied Dr. Daramola on the culturally significant visit.

The visit provided an opportunity for Dr. Daramola to pay homage to the revered royal stool and seek prayers and goodwill ahead of the APC primaries scheduled for May 15, 2026.

In line with tradition, the Halu, flanked by members of the Ode-Aye Traditional Council, offered prayers for divine wisdom, protection, and success for the House of Representatives hopeful, invoking ancestral blessings upon him as an illustrious son of the soil.

Oba Akinlade commended Dr. Daramola’s humility and deep respect for tradition, describing his visit as a true reflection of a son of the land who understands that leadership is rooted in the people and sanctified by ancestral heritage.

The monarch also lauded the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his developmental strides across Ikale land and for supporting a worthy son of the soil.

“We acknowledge the Governor’s commitment to our traditional institutions, community development, and inclusive governance. Ode-Aye stands with him in prayers and purpose, and we will never take his choice of our son for granted,” the Halu declared to resounding chants of “Kabiyesi ooo!”

In his response, Dr. Daramola expressed deep appreciation to the monarch and the entire Traditional Council for their warm reception, prayers, and fatherly guidance. He reaffirmed his commitment to integrity, selfless service, and the preservation of cultural values if given the mandate to represent the constituency at the Green Chamber in 2027.

“Kabiyesi, your blessings are deeply cherished. I stand before you not just as an aspirant, but as a son seeking the voice and guidance of his forebears. Whatever we become, we must never lose sight of our roots, our people and our tradition,” he said.

Also speaking, Chief (Engr) Orina, the Arogun of Aye Kingdom, praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s choice of Dr. Daramola, describing him as a true son of the soil. He assured the gathering of the community’s readiness to rally behind him and ensure victory at the polls.

The visit featured the presentation of kolanuts, pouring of libation, and traditional prayers, in strict adherence to Ikale customs.

Dignitaries present at the palace included members of the Ode-Aye entire Traditional Council, youths, and women, admirers amongst all from the community.
