According to him, the State Executive Council decision was in consonance with the memo presented to it by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs after the kingmakers of each community had forwarded the names of the Princes to their respective Local Government Councils.

The Commissioner said it was the authorities of the Local Governments which transmitted the recommendations to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for the approval of the State Executive Council.

He reported that the appointments had earlier gotten the approval of the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
