2020: Group pledges support for Jegede, urges him to re-contest

Residents of Ondo state have been charged to massively support the candidature of Mr EYITAYO Jegede S.A.N in the upcoming 2020 governorship election in the state.

The National Director General of Atiku Democratic Movement, ADM, Honourable Olakunori Olasupo gave the charge when he led hundreds of members to Jegede’s office in Akure, calling on him to openly express his interest in the race to the number one seat in Ondo state.

While addressing members who came from the 18 local government areas of the state, Olasupo noted that the numerous qualities of Jegede prompted their love for him.

He described him as the best man to fix the economic, education and health challenges affecting the state.

Addressing the crowd, secretary of ADM Ondo state, Mr Oladimeji Oyesusi appealed to the people of Ondo state to shun tribal, religious and other political drama and support Mr EYITAYO Jegede.

Oyesusi pointed out that he has several encounters with the generosity attitude of Jegede, noting that if giving opportunity to serve, he will not disappoint the people of Ondo state.

On her part, the woman leader of the group, Mrs Sidikat Bakare eulogised Mr Jegede for his monthly support for the poor in the society, and other humanitarian services he provides, adding that humility stands him out as the most preferred candidate.

Mrs Bakare said the traders and other artisans have unanimously agreed to support him, should he voice out to contest in the upcoming governorship election.

While welcoming and appreciating the love openly expressed for Jegede, his Personal Assistant on political matters, Mr Olumide Ogunkua promised to deliver the message of ADM to him.

Mr Ogunkua further appealed to the members to shun any form of violence and go about their consultation in a peaceful manner.

He also challenged all members and artisans at the event to ensure they have their permanent voters card and not to relent until the race is won.
