The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims within the institution and across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 Eid al-Adha celebration.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of his family, staff, and students of the institution, Dr. Ebeloku described Eid al-Adha as a significant season in the Islamic calendar that rekindles hope and reinforces faith in Allah’s power over human affairs.
According to him, the celebration serves as a reminder of the virtues of obedience, trust, patience, and unwavering faith in Allah’s commandments, citing the example of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to divine instruction.
The Rector noted that the season provides an opportunity for individuals to reflect on the importance of sacrifice and commitment to values that promote peace and societal harmony.
He urged Nigerians, particularly members of the Muslim community, to use the occasion to extend love and support to the needy and less-privileged members of society.
“As we celebrate this season, I enjoin all of us to show kindness to the needy and less-privileged among us. Let us make sacrifices to build a community of love, gratitude, resilience, and obedience,” he stated.
Dr. Ebeloku also encouraged the spirit of generosity and good neighbourliness, stressing the need for people to share with those genuinely in need.
He wished Muslims a peaceful and joyful Eid al-Adha celebration and prayed for continued unity and harmony in the country.
