The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed a suspected suicide incident involving a 20-year-old student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic in Emure-Ile.

According to the Command, the student was found dead in his residence, prompting a swift response from police operatives who visited the scene.

This was contained in a press release issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Jomoh Abayomi.

The body was subsequently recovered and deposited at a morgue for preservation and autopsy.
Preliminary findings indicate a possible case of suicide, although authorities say a comprehensive investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Police Command expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and called on members of the public to seek help during periods of emotional distress, emphasizing that support is always available.
