..arrests another over Opay fraud
The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has paraded a 25-year-old Saheed, son of Adamo for assaulting and brutalizing a 12-year-old girl, Shukurat Sulyman who was alleged to have stolen N2,000
According to the statement by the Command spokesperson Ayeni Olasunkanmi said the little girl whose mother was mentally imbalance was said to be Adamo’s niece
He noted that the girl was catered for by the command , and that the suspect will be taken to court for legal action.
He said the command will take up an exercise to sensitize the general public on the unholy act as he appealed to the people to report such cases
In the same vein, the command also paraded a burglary suspect, Olamilekan Samajatu who burgled into a house at Oke-Odo, Tanke Areas of Ilorin .
Ayeni said he stole a phone which was tracked by the tracking unit, thereby led to his arrest by the command.
Speaking further, Ayeni said the suspect was also arrested for internet fraud where he took the sum of N216,000 from the owner’s Opay account.
He logged in to someone’s account and took up to N216,000 through Opay.
He urged the users of Opay and others to be careful as their accounts can easily be messed with adding that the command is ready to take up such cases if it arises
The two suspects however confessed to the allegations as they pleaded for mercy.
