The Chief Medical Director (CMD), State Specialist Hospital, Okitipupa, Dr. Olujide Ayenimelo has described the proposed Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology’s (OAUSTECH) School of Nursing Science as a welcome development that would rapidly transform the narratives of the Ondo State Southern Senatorial District.
The CMD, who revealed that he was born in the same hospital some decades back, stated this while receiving the Vice-Chancellor of OAUSTECH, Prof. Temi Emmanuel Ologunorisa, in his office on Wednesday, 30th November, 2022.
The Medical chief indicated his willingness to work with a dynamic, visionary, vibrant and passionate personality like Prof. Ologunorisa, disclosing that he was determined to leave behind lasting legacies and imprints by the time he would exit office at Okitipupa.
Dr. Ayenimelo promised to cooperate, give all necessary support and required technical aid that would facilitate the realization of the proposed OAUSTECH Nursing School as a partner in progress.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor told his host that he was in the hospital to formally inform the CMD about the upcoming School of Nursing and seek his all-round support, as well as that of members of staff of the hospital so as to ensure the actualisation of the Nursing School as a collective project.
Prof. Ologunorisa appreciated the CMD for the cosy reception, stressing that he looks forward to a bigger cooperation and collaboration in the years ahead.
In the Vice-Chancellor’s team were the Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance (DAP), Prof. Foluso Adetuyi; Deputy Director of Information, Protocol and Public Relations, Mr. Paul Adeagbo; Senior Assistant Registrar, Information, Protocol and Public Relations, Mr. Adebayo Abdul-Majeed; and Procurement Officer, Mr. Bankole Adeyefa.
