Ondo NSCDC commissions Cyber Crime Forensic ICT training centre

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ondo State Command commissioned her Cyber Crime Forensic ICT Training Centre on Tuesday 2nd December, 2021 at the Command Headquarters, Alagbaka, Akure , Ondo State.

While delivering his welcome address, the Ondo State Commandant, Dr Hammed Abodurin said ” Curbing Crime in the 21st century demands digital approach and security operatives cannot win the war against criminality by adopting the analog system of policing. He stressed that officers need to upscale their skills in modern technology for them to tackle rising upheavals and criminalities.


Dr Abodunrin noted that the knowledge acquired in the training will enhance their ability to keep crime records appropriately, investigate cases professionally and enhance their capacity in general. In the light of the aforementioned the Command has partnered with Netmetric Technology, an ICT Company with expertise in trainings on the use of surveillance camera, investigative technology, Cyber Security, Fraud investigations, Financial crime mapping and cyber cum digital forensic amongst others.

The occasion witnessed the presence of various Service Commanders from the Nigeria Police, NDLEA, Immigration Service, Correctional Service, FRSC, Custom Service, Fire Service, Ondo State Security network Agency( Amotekun Corps) amongst others.

While rounding up the commissioning ceremony portable laptops were distributed to Senior Management staff to enhance their learning process.
