It was a rueful moment in Akure, the Ondo State capital where fatal accident claimed lives of two men whose identities are yet to be ascertained.

The accident which involved a car with the Lagos number FK 128 OFF and a TVS brand motorcycle with Ondo number LEL 434 WX occurred beside NNPC mega station, along Ilesha-Owo expressway, Akure on Sunday evening.

The crash, it was gathered happened when the motorcyclist who carry a passenger wanted to dodge a trailer that lost control, and in the process rammed into a car coming from the opposite direction.

According to eyewitnesses, The car involved in the accident was later damaged by the angry families of the victims who stormed the scene when they heard about the incident.

Efforts to speak with the officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps proved abortive as of the time of filing in this report while eyewitnesses account revealed that the two corpses have been deposited in the mortuary.
