Ondo First Lady, D-Gov, Gbajabiamila, Akpabio, other notable Nigerians grace BTO’s in-law burial

All roads to Owo, in Ondo state, where the Federal Lawmaker Representing Akoko Northeast/Northwest in the House of Representatives, Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), buried his father-in-law, Late Engr. Chief Benson Akinola Otegbeye JP, amidst pomp and pageantry.

Notable figures at the reception which was held at Mydas hotels and Resorts, included the Wife of the Governor of Ondo state, Chief Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his wife, Oluwaseun, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, RT.Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and his wife Salamatu, and the Minister of Niger Delta affairs, Sen. Godswill Akpabio.

Others included, the State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Engr. Ade Adetimehin with his executive members, the Lawmaker Representing Owo/Ose federal constituency, Hon. Timehin Adelegbe, Traditional Rulers led by the Chairman of the Council of Obas and Deji of Akure, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo the Odundun 11.

Also in attendance were members of the state House of Assembly and the Cabinet members including the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Gbenga Ale, and the Director General, Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU), Engr. Babajide Akeredolu, among others.

The wife of the Governor, who was received to the hall by the Lawmaker, attended the event with some members of the Foundation of Wives of Ondo state Officials and Female Political Appointees, FOWOSO.


The deceased, who fathered Mrs. Abimbola Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, until his demise, was the Asolo of Ehin-Ogbe, Owo, and retired Engineer at the State Ministry of Works.

He died on September 27th, 2021, aged 71years.
