The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), has announced the candidate of the Accord party, Senator Ademola Adeleke as winner of the Osun State gubernatorial election.

Adeleke garnered a total votes of 511,067 to defeat his closest opponent, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Oyebamiji Bola who polled 444,815.

The number of registered votes was announced as 2,339,544, accredited votes 1,010,684, while total votes received was 1,005,800, total valid votes was announced as 985,079 and 2,0721 votes was rejected.

The returning officer, Prof. Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole who announced the result at the early hour of Sunday, August 16, 2026, therefore declared Adeleke winner of the poll and returned him elected.
