Pst. Iyke Onuoha has successfully defended his PhD research work before a panel of distinguished academics at the University of Abuja, Nigeria, earlier today.

The panel was led by the External Examiner, Professor Felix Chinwe Asogwa of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), alongside other seasoned scholars.

Onuoha’s doctoral thesis, titled “National Universities Commission Benchmark Policy and Academic Standards in the University of Abuja, Nigeria, 2010–2023,” examined the relationship between the National Universities Commission’s benchmark policies and the maintenance of academic standards at the University of Abuja during the period under review.

Drawing on the Theory of Structural Functionalism as its theoretical framework, the research explored the role of regulatory policies in shaping institutional structures, functions and academic standards within the university system.

Following a successful defence, the panel of scholars pronounced Onuoha a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Policy Analysis, with a specialization in Regulatory Policy.

This remarkable academic achievement marks another milestone in Dr. Onuoha’s intellectual journey and his commitment to advancing knowledge in policy analysis and regulatory governance.

We warmly congratulate Dr. Iyke Onuoha on this well-deserved accomplishment and commend his efforts to expand the frontiers of knowledge and contribute to scholarship for the benefit of the academic community, the reading public and humanity at large.

Congratulations, Dr. Iyke Onuoha
