In a bid to reposition the Command and strengthen her long existing relationship with the Traditional Rulers, the media and enhance capacity building for Personnel productivity; the State Commandant of the Nigera Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command; Hammed Abodunrin has expressed his determination to take the Command to an enviable feat.
Commandant Hammed during his visit to the Palace of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, the Olowo of Owo Kingdom said the NSCDC Ondo State Command under his watch will strengthen the long existing relationship between the Command and the Royal Fathers affirming that the Traditional Rulers always have their ears to the ground hence the need to partner with the Command by giving credible and sustained Intelligence report that will help in curtailing the menace of Kidnapping, Abduction , Banditry and other forms of criminality in the State.
In his marks the Olowo of Owo Kingdom narrated the major security challenges faced in the past across the State he however commended the NSCDC and other Sister Agencies for their collaborative effort to foster peace and tranquility urging them to continue to work relentlessly to make the entire State a no go area for criminal minded persons.
The Ondo State Commandant as a Guest of Honour at the Annual Press week, Award nite and Public Lecture organized by the Correspondence Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalist reiterated that the NSCDC Ondo Command is ready to facilitate Security Trainings for Journalists in the State as this would strengthen their personal protection and security consciousness after their Security skills has been upscalled.
While addressing the Personnel currently undergoing the Rapid Response Squad and Female SpecialSquad Training, Commandant Abodunrin said that the ongoing training is in consonance with the action plan of the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD mni. to develop a robust scheme in tackling insecurities in schools and the nation at large. The Command Helmsman said with the deployment of these Personnel across Ondo State there will be no hide out for criminals in Ondo State.
While commending the efforts of the government in various capacities Commandand Hammed however, beckoned on all respective Stakeholders to support the Commandant General Safe Schools initiavie through the provision of Operational Vehicles which has being a major challenge in reaching out to the good people of Ondo State during emergency calls.
