A yet to be identified student of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra state has taken to her heels after she allegedly threw her new born baby over a fence into an empty plots of land close to her hostel yesterday.

The student whose identity is yet to be known, reportedly delivered a baby girl yesterday at her boyfriend’s room who is also a student of the institution.

However, luck ran out of the two love birds, when they threw the baby from the first floor of the hostel into an empty plot of land,but the baby got hooked on the barbed of the fence.

Our source revealed that the baby was rescued alive by some students living in the hostel and was immediately rushed to Chukwunonso Hospital opposite the Polytechnic main gate.

She added that the baby was in good condition except for the bruises sustained as a result of the barbed wire cuts.

Meanwhile, men of the Nigeria Police, Oko division have arrested the roommate of the lady and others who midwived the idea.
