The General Overseer of the Living Faith church, Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has faulted the proposed Hate Speech bill.

Speaking on Tuesday night at the opening ceremony of the annual gathering of the Church, Shiloh 2019, Oyedepo said the bill was a crazy idea.

“ They are not hanging killers, they want to hang people for hate speech” he said.

He wondered why Nigerians should not be free to speak if things are not going well in the country.

He said if things are not going well in the country like the state of the roads, people should be able to say so without been unnecessarily threatened.

According to him, nobody can stop him from speaking his mind as a prophet of God.

“What God tells me to say, I will say it,” he declared.

He declared that the bill is dead and will not see the light of the day.

Oyedepo said he loves the country with a passion but expressed sadness at the turn of events in the country under the present administration
