As part of buildups to a successful outing in the forthcoming elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State is kicking off with massive grassroots mobilisation this week.
The State chapter has perfected plans to hold what it calls “massive solidarity” wards and units meetings across the State, starting on Friday, this week.
It called on leaders and political appointees (including federal and State), to retire to their various localities to attend the meetings, and provide necessary encouragement to the local structures.
State Chairman, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, assured that mobilisation at the levels of wards and units would be sustained to beat the set target of a million votes, and silence opposition in the elections.
Babatunde enjoined all candidates of the party to mobilise their followers to attend meetings in their respective wards and units.
He urged leaders at various levels to avoid utterances and actions that could divide the fold, in the interest of unity and oneness. “We should rather strive to promote inclusiveness during the meetings and other political engagements”, he added.
Leader of the State chapter and Governor of the State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, at the inauguration of the presidential campaign council and committes on Saturday, had announced the readiness of Ondo State APC to comb the grassroots for votes, to support of all the candidates of the ruling party.
