Workers’ welfare: NLC lauds Ondo govt, assures members of acceptable Minimum Wage table

The Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Ondo State Council Comrade Sunday Oluwole-Adeleye felicitates with Christians globally today in commemoration of the humble but, noble birth of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Adeleye urges Christians world over to imbibe the goodly virtues exhibited by our Lord in giving to us His only son by demonstrating love and sacrifice.

In a statement made available by the Congress Secretary, Comrade Kehinde Shado, the Chairman equally thanks the workers of the Sunshine State for their commitment and support in the outgoing year 2019.

He also thanked the government of Ondo state for being worker’s friendly especially in the area of prompt and regular payment of salaries and pension to our senior citizens.

While urging more commitment and support in the coming year, the NLC Chairman promised that he would not relent in ensuring that workers’ well-being and welfare are guaranteed and always in the front burner.

The current leadership of NLC is unrepentantly committed to the protection of jobs, regular and full payment of salaries to all categories of workers in both public and private sectors.

On the ongoing new minimum wage negotiation, the Labour leader assures workers of an acceptable salary table that will be affordable, sustainable and poses no threat to our jobs.

Oluwole-Adeleye therefore wishes all NLC members a warm Christmas celebration and a prosperous New year in advance.
