The Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) has just announced the suspension of its three months old strike, after today’s meeting with the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige.

Academic activities is therefore to commence tomorrow.

According to the union, this is just a suspension and not an outright call- off, with a threat to embark on another industrial action with full force if the Federal Government reneges on the memorandum of agreement.
