It was a moment of uncontrollable laughter yesterday as the Governor of Ondo State, Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) affirmed that he would be rapturable if Jesus comes any moment, saying that he has pleaded for forgiveness and will strive to make heaven.
Akeredolu who made this statement during a VIP’S fellowship with the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM) , Dr. D.K. Olukoya at the International event center, The Dome Akure on Sunday said a spirit keeps on telling him that the coming of Jesus Christ is very near.
In his speech that seems more spiritual than usual, Akeredolu charged every individual to renew covenant with God, asking where will they spend their eternity when Jesus comes.
He thanked the people of Ondo State for being religion’s tolerant, which according to him brings peace to the state and consequently attracts investors.
He also thanked the religious leaders in the state, saying they have performed tremendously by sustaining the state with prayers.
The governor who affirmed that his coming to power was a miracle, expressed readiness not to take Christianity for granted.
Appreciating Olukoya for his visit to the state, especially for ordering the total renovation of St. John’s primary school Akure where he started his education years back, Akeredolu described him as a simple and amiable General Overseer he ever met, saying his visit to the state was for a special purpose.
He counted himself lucky to have met him, and conferred on him, honourary citizen of Ondo State while ackowlegded the enormous miracles God performed through Olukoya.
Olukoya, who wasn’t left behind during the laughing moment, thanked Akeredolu for his presence at the VIP’s meeting and prayed for God’s presence in the state.
