I will be rapturable- Akeredolu

It was a moment of uncontrollable laughter yesterday as the Governor of Ondo State, Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) affirmed that he would be rapturable if Jesus comes any moment, saying that he has pleaded for forgiveness and will strive to make heaven.

Akeredolu who made this statement during a VIP’S fellowship with the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM) , Dr. D.K. Olukoya at the International event center, The Dome Akure on Sunday said a spirit keeps on telling him that the coming of Jesus Christ is very near.

In his speech that seems more spiritual than usual, Akeredolu charged every individual to renew covenant with God, asking where will they spend their eternity when Jesus comes.

He thanked the people of Ondo State for being religion’s tolerant, which according to him brings peace to the state and consequently attracts investors.

He also thanked the religious leaders in the state, saying they have performed tremendously by sustaining the state with prayers.

The governor who affirmed that his coming to power was a miracle, expressed readiness not to take Christianity for granted.

Appreciating Olukoya for his visit to the state, especially for ordering the total renovation of St. John’s primary school Akure where he started his education years back, Akeredolu described him as a simple and amiable General Overseer he ever met, saying his visit to the state was for a special purpose.

He counted himself lucky to have met him, and conferred on him, honourary citizen of Ondo State while ackowlegded the enormous miracles God performed through Olukoya.

Olukoya, who wasn’t left behind during the laughing moment, thanked Akeredolu for his presence at the VIP’s meeting and prayed for God’s presence in the state.

He explained that the VIP’s fellowship which started years back in Lagos with the name, ‘Eagle’s club’, is aimed to teach the elites, traditional rulers and Pastors, the geography and chemistry of prayer and to know the awesomeness of prayers.
He explained that the programme is an inaugural meeting to teach high profile personalities how to solve spiritual battles themselves without seeking power from other gods.
The MFM General Overseer ministered to the attendees from the book of John 3.8 with the topic, “The Dynamics of violence prayer”.
Olukoya’s visit to the state featured a foundation laying of 5,000 capacity auditorium at the church Southwest 4 Regional headquarters in Akure on Saturday morning which followed by an open crusade at the Federal University of Technology Akure where so many healing miracles we’re performed.
As part of his visit activities to the state, Olukoya visited St. John primary school Akure where he started his primary education and offered the immediate renovation of the school, a gesture which Akeredolu appreciated and said the State will forever remain grateful to him.
Personalities at the fellowship include first class traditional rulers across the state, political office holders and career men and women.
