President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to receive the certificate of return and official flag of the All Progressives Congress as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

According to a State House press release issued on Saturday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the presentation ceremony will take place on Sunday 24th May, 2026 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.

The statement noted that the certificate and party flag would be presented by the Presidential Primary Elections Committee following the nationwide collation of results from the party’s primary election.

The event is expected to attract top APC stakeholders, including governors elected on the party’s platform, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Working Committee (NWC), lawmakers from the National Assembly, and other party leaders.

The development formally signals the party’s endorsement of President Tinubu as its standard bearer ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
