PRESS STATEMENT
A gender inclusion advocate and founder of Kids & Teens Resource Centre, Mr. Martin-Mary Falana, has congratulated Hon. Mrs. Wunmi Olatunji-Ohwovoriole on her victory in the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election, where she emerged as the party’s candidate for Akure South/Akure North Federal Constituency.
In his congratulatory message, Falana, a strong advocate of women’s participation in politics and gender inclusion in governance, described her as an experienced politician whose emergence would inspire more women to continue striving for greater representation and leadership opportunities in Ondo State politics.
According to him: “I am always eager to see more women occupy decision-making positions because I believe performance is not exclusive to any gender. Rather, it is determined by an individual’s intellectual, emotional, and moral capacity, as well as the passion and commitment required to drive meaningful impact.”
“As a gender inclusion advocate irrespective of the political affiliations, I celebrate Hon. Wunmi Olatunji-Ohwovoriole for securing the APC ticket to represent Akure South/Akure North Federal Constituency, and I look forward to celebrating more women in future elections.”
While congratulating her on the milestone, Falana urged her to justify the confidence reposed in her by party members and constituents, expressing optimism about her chances and praying for a resounding victory in the general election.
