Drama unfolded at the Ondo State headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force on Igbatoro Road, Akure, as an herbalist and his associates were apprehended on Friday with incriminating evidence related to money rituals involving the processing of black soap.

Quadri Lawal, aged 35, and his accomplices made startling confessions, revealing their involvement in a gruesome crime. Lawal admitted to severing the head of a deceased woman and dividing it in two: one portion for his colleague and the other for ritualistic purposes.

Recounting the events, Lawal stated, “While hunting in the bush, I stumbled upon the lifeless body of a woman, which I then informed Oluawo about.”

He continued, “Oluawo requested that I extract certain body parts, which I complied with by cutting off a portion of the human head. One part was kept in my residence, while the other was handed over to Oluawo as requested.”

When questioned about the purpose of the human remains, Lawal disclosed that they were utilized in the production of black soap, catering to the demands of affluent clients seeking monetary gains through ritualistic means.

Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Abayomi Oladapo, affirmed that the suspects would undergo thorough investigations before facing legal charges.

He urged the public to remain vigilant and prioritize their security in all transactions.
