Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa kickstarted his campaign tour for the 2024 All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries by visiting Igbara-Oke in Ifedore local government area of Ondo state. His first stop was at the palace of the Olowa of Igbara-Oke, where he was warmly welcomed by Oba Francis Agbede, the Onibuji of Ibuj Oba Folagbade Ojo, and other local monarchs.

Addressing the monarchs, Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted his administration’s achievements in maintaining peace and reviving stalled projects. He emphasized the importance of infrastructure development, particularly the construction of new roads to enhance agricultural activities by connecting rural farms to urban centers.



In response, the Olowa of Igbara-Oke commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his transformative initiatives, lauding him as a performing governor and a grassroots politician capable of leading the state effectively. He expressed confidence in the governor’s leadership and pledged continuous support and prayers.



At a gathering with party members at the Premier Hotel and Resort in Igbara-Oke, Governor Aiyedatiwa urged their support for his candidacy, emphasizing his commitment to fostering comprehensive development across the state. He also announced his payment of annual dues for over one hundred and ten thousand party members in preparation for the upcoming primaries.

The campaign event was attended by notable figures including Senator Ajayi Borofice, House of Representatives member Abiola Makinde, former Nigerian Ambassador to Togo Ambassador Sola Iji, Alhaji Jamiu Ekungba, and other loyalists of the APC.
