Ondo: First Class Monarch joins ancestors

The Paramount ruler of Ipele kingdom in Owo local government area of Ondo state, Oba Victor Oluwasegun Aganun (Iredokun 1), The 19th Olupele of Ipele has joined his ancestors.

While breaking the news to the Chiefs at the palace on Wednesday morning at about 8:14am, Prince Olatunbosun Aganun said; “we are not going to mourn our father-kabiyesi as he has instructed as he lived a fulfilled life.”

In his words, the First Class Kabiyesi died as an hero and he made history in Ipele as the first crowned King to be upgraded to Grade A Class of the Council of Obas, and the First Olupele the sitting Governor of the state officially presented staff of office to as Olupele.

Prince Olatunbosun Aganun, after dully Informing the Chiefs, sought for immediate traditional rites for the Olupele.

Kabiyesi Olupele was elected Thursday 24th March 2022 and staff of office was presented to him by the Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON on 26th day of August 2022.

Oba Victor Oluwasegun Aganun was born on 25th June,1948 to the families of Late High Chief Jacob Eleduma of Iredokun lineage of Akapo Ilana Quarter of Ipele and Mrs. Comfort Bolatiwa Aganun of Kolawole Isekiri of Ebuli Oma-Oliyere of Igemi Quarter,Ipele.

The monarch is survived by his beloved wife Olori Banke Aganun, Great Children and Grand Children.
