..says APC Female Political Movers supercedes other women campaign groups
In preparation for the forthcoming All Progressive Congress Presidential campaign rally in Ondo State, Wife of the Governor, Chief Betty Anyanwuu-Akeredolu, on Thursday gathered party women leaders across the state on a mobilisation meeting to chart a way for the event.
The Ondo First Lady who is the APC State Women Coordinator for Tinubu/Shettima Presidential campaign committee, mobilised party women who are women leaders across the wards and units, female appointees and elected officers, under the name APC Female Political Movers.

At the meeting held at Rotunda government house ground, the Ondo First Lady informed that the party’s presidential campaign rally would hold in the State comes January 7th, 2023, hence, the need for party women to strategise.
Represented by the State’s Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development,Dr. Bunmi Osadahun, Mrs. Akeredolu urged party women to be ready to strategise towards the victory of the party at the general elections, noting that the group would serve as a think-tank for women’s activities.

She emphasised the need for all party’s female candidates to emerge winners and enjoined women to mobilise electorate in their support.
The Ondo First Lady hinted that the APC Female Political Movers supercedes all other campaign movement groups any individuals might have identified with, noting that all Southwestern First Ladies were in charge of the group in their various states.

She charged them to put their house in order and be united towards achieving victory in the forthcoming general elections.
She averred that the APC Female Political Movers would serve as a solid foundation for a united party women platform in the state, in compliance with party structure.

The State’s APC Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, who later joined the meeting, commended the First Lady for her motherly roles in promoting female leadership in the state.
He expressed gladness in the public praise-singing of President Buhari’s giant strides in infrastructural development as proclaimed by Mrs Akeredolu about the second River Niger bridge.

Adetimehin urged every member of the party to be united and be tolerant, noting that it’s better to remain in the structure and fight within rather than joining another political party without relevance.
He appealed to party women to pray for the victory of APC in the forthcoming elections, affirming that men cannot achieve success without the support of women.

Notable female party leaders at the meeting included, Commissioner for Commerce, Mrs. Lola Fagbemi, Special Advisers to the Governor on Education and Gender, respectively, Mrs. Wunmi Ilawole and Mrs. Olamide Falana, Commissioner for Information, Mrs. Bamidele Olateju, Fmr Women Affairs Commissioner, Mrs Titi Adeyemi, APC State Woman Leader, Mrs. Morenike Witherspoon, Fmr Commissioner for women affairs, Odigbo Local government chairman, Mrs. Margret Akinsuroju, amongst others.
