Ondo FOMWAN pays condolence visit to Gov Akeredolu over mother’s death

Ondo state chapter of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria, FOMWAN has visited the Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu at his late mother’s Kopindogba residence located at Orogun area of Ibadan to commiserate with him and the family over the death of his mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu.

The State Amirah (President), Alhaja Medinat Omikunle who led the delegation on the condolence visit today, Sunday, September 8, 2022, consoled with the Governor and prayed that Mama will rest in peace.

A member of the FOMWAN state Board of Adviser, Alhaja Rafat Momoh said Mama’s demise is a lesson to everybody that no matter how many years one spends on earth, it is certain that one will surely answer the call of His creator.

Momoh, who is also the state Chairperson of Community and Humanitarian committee, described Mama as a mother who has lived a fulfilled life following the various tributes from all and sundry.

She urged people to emulate the lessons drawn from Mama to be of good behaviour so that people can talk about them when they pass on.

She thanked God that, the Governor and his siblings survived their mother, advising them to imbibe the values Mama taught them while alive.

It would be recalled that the Ondo state Governor’s mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu (JP) died at the early hours of Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the age of 90.

Sympathizers among which are dignitaries, organisations, philanthropists, political associates, government appointees among majority of others have been trouping into the deceased’s Ibadan residence to commiserate and sign the condolence register opened for visitors.

FOMWAN delegates among others included National Deputy Coordinator zone 2 South West, Alhaja Idayat Jimoh, the state Secretary, Dr, Sidiqot Adamson Shodehinde and the Akure South Amirah, Alhaja Hannat Esinloku.
Responding, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu applauded the leadership of FOMWAN for the visit praying that God will grant them the grace to survive and outlive their aged parents.

The Governor, however, wished them safe journey back to their various destinations.
