Wife of the Governor of Ondo State, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, was among the creme de la creme in Ondo and Ekiti States’ political cycle, who paid their last respect for the Late Chairman of Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission, Hon. Babatunde Joseph Abegunde, in Aisegba Ekiti on Friday.

Mrs. Akeredolu attended the burial service in honour of one of the children of the deceased who is a Senior Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Gender Research and Documentation, Mrs. Temitope Daniyan.

Other dignitaries at the ceremony included the Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, Ekiti Deputy Governor, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, Secretary to the Government of Ondo State, Princess Oladunni Odu, the newly elected Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, members of the Foundation for Wives of Ondo State Officials and Female Political Appointees (FOWOSO), amongst others.

Speaking during the burial service held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Aisegba, the Ondo First Lady commiserated with the family of the deceased, stating that she was convinced with testimonies about the lifetime the deceased to had impacted humanity.

She described Tope Daniyan who is a Governor’s Aide directly attached to her office, as a conductor of her lofty initiatives through which many lives had been touched.

She further described her as a focused , reliable, diligent and dependable ally, hence, the reason she was fully on ground to stand by her along with FOWOSO Members.

Mrs Akeredolu encouraged wife of the deceased to take solace in the children who were doing great in their various fields of endeavor, and for the fact that he died well as a good father to the children.
