UNIMED commences payment of newly employed staff with special arrangement

The management of the UNIMED Teaching Hospital, Ondo State, Nigeria has revealed the eventual commencement of payment of newly employed personnel at UNIMED Teaching Hospital for the year 2022 under a special arrangement by the Ondo State government.

The Chief Medical Doctor, Dr. Oluwole Ige said that all medical personnel who were recently employed have been receiving their salaries from the first month of their assumption of duty and subsequently. This means no newly employed staff in 2022 will be owed salaries.

This new policy was implemented by the State Government in order to attract medical staff into the workforce of the State.
Aside this, it would be noted that in the month of July, workers in Ondo State received two tranches of salaries which included arrears of February and March 2022 thus further demonstrating the government’s commitment to workers’ welfare in the State despite daunting economic challenges in the country.

Continuing, Ige lauded the State Government, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN for this flexible staff-friendly scheme and all the more, for the high degree of commitment to ensuring wholesome healthcare services to the good people of Sunshine State and beyond shown by His Excellency.

The CMD, therefore encouraged fresh graduates who are seeking internship to apply to UNIMED Teaching Hospital as they will receive their salaries once engaged.
He also encouraged all suitably qualified post-NYSC medical personnel including but not limited to doctors, nurses, medical laboratory scientists and pharmacists to apply as all suitably qualifed candidates would be engaged.
