Skill Motivation: UNIMEDTH begins 2022 Promotion Exercise

Sequel to approval by Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, to commence year 2022 promotion interview for the state workforce, the UNIMED Teaching Hospital has began the promotion interview for Consultants, Medical Doctors, Nurses and Allied health workers for skills enhancement and motivation.

The CMD UNIMED Teaching Hospital, Dr. Oluwole Ige made this known while addressing the eligible officers at the Teaching Hospital Secretariat in Ondo city during the flag-off exercise.

He commended Akeredolu, saying that despite the dwindling economy of the state, the Governor has continued to demonstrate commitment to the welfare of workers since assumption of office through promotion of Officers as and when due and regular payment of salary.

He highlighted that 789 eligible personnel shall participate in this year promotion exercise. He explained further that 17 Consultants Grade I, 2 Consultants Grade II, 4 Principal Medical officers, 56 in Nursing cadre, 430 Health attendants, and 290 in Allied health related cadres.

Dr. Oluwole Ige said officers would be adequately assessed as regards to their talents for Revised Structural Training that will address Job Specific and Cross-Cutting Issues.The CMD charged them all to see the interview exercise as a preparedness for higher responsibilities as they advanced their career with Teaching Hospital.

Earlier, the Director of Administration, Mr. Esan-Titus Olaboboye added that the oral interview will also afford Teaching Hospital the opportunity to promptly address any identified knowledge gaps and training programmes would be designed for capacity building that will boost staff confidence.

He added that, the exercise would be supervised by the Department of Establishment and Training, from Office of the Head of Service and Ondo State Civil Service Commission.

Esan enjoined all clinicals and non-clinicals personnel for the promotion to reciprocate the management gesture as to be diligent in their duties, eschew fraudulent practices and continue to adhere to the ethics of public service rules for excellent health service delivery.
