The National body of the Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has recognised the efforts of the Chairman of Ondo State Information Agency, (SITA), Mr. Olumbe Akinkugbe in contributing to the development of youths through various initiatives.
To this end, the leadership of NANS, presented him an award of recognition in appreciation of his investment efforts on youths, especially for facilitating and supporting the just concluded FINTECH Summit which was of immense benefits to participating youths.
A delegation of executive members of NANS, led by the Financial Secretary, Mr. Olaseinde Williams, presented him the award while on a courtesy visit to office of the SITA Chairman.
In his words while presenting him the award, Olaseinde Williams said: “we are glad to have leaders like you who invest in young people and are committed to see them grow. It is also why we have presented you with an award for your continuous service to youth development and the development of Ondo state.”
Receiving the award, Mr. Olumbe excitedly noted that “my own style of leadership is substance over style. I strongly believe in serving people first, rather than the performative gimmicks of several other politicians. That said, I’m proud of how far you all have come and we will continue to work together to see greater developments.”
The group then sang solidarity songs and assured Mr. Olumbe of their support in his bid to represent Ondo East and West on the Federal House of Representatives.
