Aiyedatiwa commends Sunshine Stars for January Run, rallies Troop ahead of Enyimba Clash

..Pledges N100,000 Per Goal Against The People’s Elephants 

The Deputy Governor of Ondo State and Chairman, Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) management committee, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa has commended Sunshine Stars for their impressive run of form in the first full month of the 2021/22 NPFL season.

Aiyedatiwa expressed his appreciation to the Owena Whales during an unscheduled visit, in company of Hon Akin Akinbobola, team administrative mainstay, Divine Ogbonanya, consultant as well as Tunde Ogunja, management committee memelber to the team’s base ahead of Sunday’s matchday 11 meeting with Enyimba FC in Ijebu Ode.

“Congrats for your impressive unbeaten run in January, I commend your effort. Don’t relax, you will get top the top soon; Sunshine will go top of the league.

“I am here to support and charge you ahead of today’s match against Enyimba; I know you have all it take to run them over. Go there and hit them hard like you did Kano Pillars.”

The number two citizen of Ondo State also reaffirmed the government’s readiness to make Sunshine Stars a cynosure of club football in Nigeria and revealed the imminent return of the team to its traditional home in Akure.

“Count yourself lucky to be part of this renewed Sunshine Stars; we are going places. Sunshine Stars is an international brand that everyone will want to be part of. Already, among the young talentswe have here some will secure move to the international market to generate money for themselves and the club.

“Mr Governor has approved further renovation of the Akure Stadium; we should be returning home within the next two or three matches. Even the track will be worked on so that other athletes can use the facility and not just football.”

“Again, I want to congratulate you for how far you have gone this season and wish you all the best in today’s game. In addition to your bonus which you have been getting promptly, there is a reward of N100,000 for each goal scored today and N50,000 extra for clean sheet.” Aiyedatiwa promised.

Head coach, Deji Ayeni and Sunday Abe took turn to express gratitude to the Deputy Governor for leadership and support the team has enjoyed under his watch and both assured him of total victory against the People’s Elephants in today’s game.
