“Certificate of recognition presented to Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN in recognition of your gender sensitive posture that has rated you as the best Governor among your counterparts in the South West of Nigeria” .
Above was the citation read on Tuesday, as Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN was given an Award by Coalition of Civil Society Organization in Ondo State, at Cocoa Conference Hall, Governor’s Office, Alagbaka Akure.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Governor from the Chairman of the coalition, Mr Franklin Oloniju, Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa thanked the organization for finding Governor Akeredolu worthy of the award.

He assured that, Akeredolu administration will continue to initiate more women friendly programs and policies to empower women, girl-child and persons living with disabilities.
Aiyedatiwa noted that, Akeredolu’s administration would equally continue to uphold the pace of good governance in both ideas and principles, especially in the area of infrastructural and human capital development.
According to him, this is why Mr Governor has not reneged on executing series of programs and policies initiated by his administration.
On his own part, Mr Oloniju lauded the Governor for being gender sensitive in the area of appointment of women to positions of responsibility in his government.
Accompanied the Deputy Governor in receiving the award are Cabinet members and other top Government functionaries.
