In a Press Statement signed by the NUJ Chairman, Adetona Aderoboye and the State Secretary, Leke Adegbite, the Union described Oba Aladetoyinbo as a Peace loving, Progressive and Media friendly foremost monarch who deserves to lead the State Traditional institution.

Ondo NUJ observes with delight the decision of Governor Akeredolu to appoint a vibrant and energetic Royal father to head the Council of Obas at this critical time when the traditional institution is needed to rally support for government in tackling security challenges facing the nation.

The Journalists’ Union equally notes with appreciation to Almighty God that the reign of Oba Aladetoyinbo in the last six years has brought unprecedented peaceful co-existence and rapid development to Akure as the State Capital.
