In a bid to combat all forms of Criminality in the State, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has reiterated her commitment to employing all necessary strategies to forestall the rising rate of Vandalism, Kidnapping, Banditry, Sexual Gender Based Violence and other Criminalities in Ondo State.
This informed the pragmatic move of the Ondo NSCDC State Command helmsman, Commandant Hammed Abodunrin who affirmed on the need for collective efforts in ameliorating and eradicating the manace of insecurity during his visit to the Director of the Department of State Security Services, Ondo State Command.
In his words, Commandant Hammed said the Command has enjoyed a robust working relationship with the Department of State Security Service in the State overtime, hence, the relationship would further be strengthened through Training and Re- Training of Personnel, sharing of Intelligence and taking proactive measures to nip in the bud all Criminal activities in the State.
The DSS State Director, Adediran Rasheed fsi fdc. relayed that the situation of the Country calls for synergy amongst the critical stakeholders in the Security terrain. He further promised the Service Command continuous collaboration with the NSCDC to combat insecurity in the State.
Commandant Hammed Abodunrin and his entourage proceeded to the Ondo Police Command where he lauded the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Bolaji Salami for his relentless efforts and collaboration with Ondo NSCDC most especially during Joint operations in the enforcement of law and order in the State.
The Commissioner of Police relayed that the State has been very peaceful as the Security Agencies never rested on their Oars, saying that the collaborations of the Security Heads in the State would definitely fortify the security achitecture.
In addition, the CP said the Show of Strength Operations will continually send warning signals to all crime perpetrators that there is no hiding place for Criminals in Ondo State.
In his remarks at the 32 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army, Owena Cantonment; Commandant Hammed said the Nigerian Army has continued to be at the fore front in the fight against Insurgency and the Protection of the Country against external aggression.
He reiterated that the Ondo NSCDC is ready to work hand in hand with the 32 Artillery Brigade to make Ondo State a safe heven for the dwellers.
The Brigade Commander, 32 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Yakubu Yahaya commended the Ondo NSCDC for exhibiting professionalism and synergizing with the Brigade in the past Joint operations.
He affirmed his continuous support to the NSCDC Ondo Command in terms of Capacity building and Man Power Development, he consequently encouraged the Senior Staff Officers of both Security Agencies to reciprocate the Synegistic gesture among the Rank and File so as to enhance an atmosphere void of any iota of Inter-agency rivalries.
