Pastor Adeboye loses son

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, has lost one of his biological sons, Dare Adeboye, to the cold hands of death.

The late Dare, who is the third son of the accomplished cleric, died in his sleep on Wednesday at the age of 42.

Until his death in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he was based with his family, Dare, according to sources in the RCCG, was the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35.

His death was said to have come as a shock to many as he had ministered the previous day and was healthy.

It was gathered that the young pastor had  retired to his bed and did not wake up.

The Nigerian Monitor gathered that while the late Dare was going to bed, he asked not to be disturbed by anyone.

Sources informed that “He retired to his bedroom, slept but did not wake up. It was when his wife, Temiloluwa Adeboye, noticed her husband’s unusual sleeping hours and could not reach him on phone that she raised the alarm and he was discovered dead. The younger Adeboye was neither sick nor on medication when the tragic incident happened.”

When Dare marked his 42nd birthday in June last year (he would have been 43 in June 2021), Pastor Adeboye described him as his first miracle child. He wrote on his Facebook page then:

“Our first miracle child. We pray that God will keep his miraculous working power in your life and all those who needs a miracle today, will use you as a point of contact for their own in JESUS name. (Amen) love from Dad, Mom and the whole Adeboye dynasty.”

Confirming the sad development, one of the top shots in the RCCG family, said: “Shock. Disbelief. Tears. Thanksgiving. Praise. Total submission to the will of God. Pastor Dare’s death is painful, unexpected, but who dares question God?”

Pastor Dare Adeboye was the North Central Youth Evangelist overseeing all the youths, RCF, RCCF and PSF in Niger, Benue, Kwara, Kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau, and FCT.

Pastor Dare has held previous positions as the Senior Pastor of RCCG House of Praise Birmingham, the Provincial Youth Pastor of RCCG Kaduna Province 1 and RCCG Kaduna Region 8 Youth Pastor.

Also, he has held various posts such as the RCCG Youth Affairs National & International Director of Programs, Chairman Organizing Committee of 70hrs Messiah’s Marathon Praise, National Youth Convention and Northern Zone Abuja RCCG SHIFT programs.

All these positions have allowed him to understand the various dynamics of young people across the globe and how to increase the church’s influence.

He has dedicated his life to training and mentoring young people on making the most of their faith anywhere they find themselves.
