Ondo Police Command parades Househelp who killed boss, others

A househelp, Emmanuel Akpan   has been arrested by the police in Ondo state for killing his boss and stealing the sum of N3,500.Emmanuel also stole  two phones, jewelries, and a generator.

He was said to to have killed his  boss, Mrs. Febisola Caroline Adedayo, with a cutlass while she was sleeping.The late Adedayo was said to be a food canteen operator in Ondo town.

Emmanuel was picked to work for late Adedayo by his friend, Goodness Akpan, with a promise that she had lots of money.Both of them fled to a village in Ogun State but were trailed there by police detectives.

Emmanuel told journalists at the Ondo Police headquarters where he was paraded that it was Goodness that asked him to kill his madam.But Goodness denied asking his friend to kill his boss.

He said he worked for late Adedayo for three years before introducing other workers to her.

Ondo Police Commissioner, Bolaji Salami, said the suspects would be charged to court after investigation has been completed.

The Police Command paraded twenty-seven suspects in connection with kidnapping, Armed robbery, murder, child stealing and policemen assaut.

Parading them at the police headquarters in Akure, the State Commissioner of police, Mr Bolaji Salami said twelve of them were apprehended for kidnapping cases in the state, three for murder issues, six for armed robbery and four cases of assault on policemen.

According to the police commissioner, two suspects Seye Akinsete and Titilayo Ikudaisi were arrested for selling their child for three hundred thousand naira and stealing another six month old boy at Odo-Ota Sawmill, Ilorin, Kwara state with intention of selling the child.

Mr Bolaji Salami said all the suspects would be charged to court immediately judicial workers suspend their ongoing nationwide strike.

The police commissioner assured that his command was working with other police commands in the neighbouring states to tackle activities of kidnappers.
