Sons and Daughters of Ondo City, Ondo West Local Government both home and abroad have unanimously decried the activities of land grabbers in the community.

This was contained In an online discussion led by former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Joseph Akinlaja and moderated by Segun Adesemoye on the Ondo Community Reformation and Development Platform.

The community described land grabbing as a menace that has hindered the progress and development of the kingdom, which must be nip in the bud by all and sundry.

The discuss further revealed that many successful Ondos who intend to build houses and factories has been defrauded and had their lands taken away by dangerous land Grabbers. in some cases, some were forced to repurchased the same land they had originally bought many times.

An Ondo born Canada based relayed his bitter experience in the hands of land grabbers who made him pay severally for a piece of land and eventually took the land from him.

“It was unanimously agreed that land grabbing has hindered development of Ondo Community, thus discouraged people from building their homes and investing in the community.

They condemn land grabbing and vowed to do whatever it takes to stop it in the Kingdom.”
