The Bishop of Akure Diocese of the Anglican communion, RT Reverend Simeon Borokini has called for the immediate arrest of the killers of the diocesan bursar earlier this morning.

Borokini who described the death of the bursar, Late Gabriel Abiodun as a sad one, also called for an enhanced security in Akure, the state capital, especially around financial Banks.

According to him, โ€œthis is one incident the Anglican church wants security agencies to unravel without delay as it appears there is a syndicate involved in this kind of robbery operationโ€.

The armed robbers were said to have trailed him from the bank to his office, and disposed him of the cash and shot him.

The late Bursar who was due to retire next year is survived by his wife and children.

The gateman at the diocesan office who claimed to have struggled with the gunmen to prevent them from leaving after the incident, has been arrested by the Police for questioning.
