The immediate past Ondo State President of the National Council of Women Societies, NCWS, Dr. Mrs. Jumoke Aborode, has been appointed as National Woman Leader of Builders, Construction and Skilled Artisan Association of Nigeria, BACSAAN.
She was inauguarated at an event organised by the Council for the Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria in collaboration with BACSAAN, which was held at Nicon Luxury hotel Abuja the Federal capital Territory on Friday December 9, 2022.

Responding to the appointment, Mrs. Aborode saluted the First Lady of Ondo state whose path she followed in encouraging women to be actively involved in leadership tasks and women empowerment.

She disclosed that her nomination was done by a national member of NCWS who witnessed the initiative of the council in Ondo State under her leadership and coupled with her comments at a conference in Abuja about the empowerment initiatives of Ondo First Lady during a round table discussion on women development and their roles in community.
This made her nomination to sail through screening process and emerged winner out of the six contestants.

The BACSAAN National Woman Leader appreciated the Governor of Ondo state for his support for Artisans and his wife for championing women’s empowerment through her slogan “Reduce Fila to increase Gele”, which is her approach to canvass women’s participation in governance, politics and other leadership positions.
