The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command launched the second edition of her Legal Training on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th April, 2021 respectively.
This became necessary in line with the vision of the Commandant General, Dr.Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni. who pledged to reposition the Corps and ensure a high level of professionalism in the discharge of her Statutory responsibilities.
While declaring the training session open, the Command helmsman, Commandant Eweka Edenabu.O. commended the Senior management Staff Officers for their cooperation in making the second phase of the Legal training workshop a reality.

He affirmed that the Command will not relent in her determination to carry out the vision of the NSCDC Commandant General which is premised on Training and Re-training of Officers for efficiency and effective service delivery.
Commandant Eweka Said, ” For effective leadership and coordination; it is very vital for the Senior Officers of the Command to undergo a Legal Training Workshop as this would enhance your performance”.
He further relayed that there is urgent need to get acquainted with the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 together with other relevant statutes and also refresh memories on the practical aspects of the Corps mandate.

The Legal Training and Workshop witnessed the convergence of Deputy Commandants, Assistant Commandants and Chief Superintendents who are Heads of Departments, Area Commanders and Head of various Units at the Command Headquarters.
The Command’s Head of Legal, Adedeji Olayiwola Esq. and his Legal Team explicitly delivered lectures covering: Court Procedures, Statement Taking, Rights of Defendants, Bail, Arrest and Search, Principle of Natural Justice, differences between Criminal and Civil matters, Customary Laws and Repugnancy Test, Identification Parade, Defences to Criminal Responsibilities amongst others.


The Command Head of Operations; DCC. Jonathan Olariche who spoke on behalf of all the participants appreciated the State Commandant for providing such an indelible opportunity to add to their body of knowledge; pledging that the participants would do their best to justify the privilege. The session witnessed award and presentation of Certificates to all Participants by the State Commandant at the end of the Legal Training.
