Southwest Youth Movement honours Banji Alabi, described him as a right choice for RUGIPO

The Chairman Governing Council of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, Mr. Banji Alabi has been honoured with an award of the best performing Board chairman in the Southwest by the Southwest Youth Movement.

The Movement, a Presidential Support Committee also made him its Grand Patron.

Presenting him the award in his office at RUGIPO premises, the Coordinator of the Movement in Owo, Hon. Afolabi Segun stated that Alabi was found worthy of the award because of his virtues and track record of achievements as the Board chairman of the institution.

Also speaking, the leader of the group, Mr. Ogunlade Temitope described him as right peg in the right hole, and a good choice who has brought developmental strides to the institution.

He used the avenue to reiterate the commitment of the Movement to work for the reelection of the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, come 2020.

Responding to the award, Alabi stated that it would spur him to do more, while reiterating his determination to make Rufus Giwa Polytechnic a silicon valley and build the economy of the state around it.

He also expressed his interest to partner the Southwest Youth Movement on its AKETI 2020 project and one million man march for the reelection of governor Akeredolu.

A member of the governing council, Chief (Mrs) Bosede Osunmakinwa appreciated members of the Movement for the honour and enjoined them to maintain integrity and carry the chairman along in their activities, assuring them of his passion for youth development.
