The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN has charged Minister-designate, Senator Tayo Alasoadura to use the opportunity of his appointment to unite and strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State for the challenges ahead.

Akeredolu stated this in a statement issued by the State commissioner for information and orientation, Mr. Donald Ojogo which was made available to JATS Communications.

According to the statement, the governor believes that the confirmation of Alasoadura by the Senate would go a long way in bringing together all stakeholders in the party irrespective of hitherto existing differences.

The governor counsels against divisive statements and utterances that are inimical to the enviable path to oneness in the party.

“The Governor believes strongly that Alasoadura belongs to all in the APC.

“When opportunities such as this come, there are bound to be straw-holding cleavages laced with the potency of further dividing or creating needless gulfs among leaders.

“A time like this is therefore, the most desirable for leaders to display compassion, love, forgiveness as well as broadminded inclusiveness.

“These are undoubted qualities our minister-designate should dispassionately deploy to bring on board, all members of the APC in Ondo State.

“This is more so that, as leader of the party in the State on whose shoulders the challenges of heightening the fortunes of APC rest, Mr. Governor is further encouraged by the fact that Alasoadura’s complimentary leadership, alongside others, will create a more harmonious path to reconciliation”, says the statement.

“As far as Governor Akeredolu is concerned, the choice of Alasoadura is a collective victory for all in the state chapter of APC”, the statement reads.
