The Department of Mass Communication, Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, has gotten full accreditation status from the National Universities Commission (NUC).

This development is contained in a letter from the NUC signed by its deputy director, programme accreditation, Arc S. S. Ikani and obtained by Precision Online Newspaper on Tuesday.

In the letter dated March 9, 2023 and titled, “Results of the November/December, 2022 Accreditation of Academic Programmes in Nigerian Universities, the NUC disclosed that the new accreditation status of the Department, would be for five years.

Other programmes of the University that got full accreditation status are M.Sc. Accounting; M.Sc. Business Administration; Master Business Administration (MBA) and B.Sc. Accounting.

Others are B.Sc. Computer Science; B.Eng. Electrical and Electronics Engineering; BSc Economics and B.Sc. Political Science.

B.Sc. Business Administration, however got interim status for two (2) years.

    Thanks for sharing your process of education with us online today.
    If I may Add some few statements: I believe Nigeria need to do more in establishing better standard to more industrial education. I mean more vocation training with hands on on their respectful fields of education. Also, our government must engage with companies ready to hig our graduates as an intern so that they begin to see how their education can be transfor to real world, not just the academic part of it. The vocational students, must have an assignments to design something before they graduate and see how they market whatetever they design. I believe through this type of exercise our students will excel in realy world and help the country to become more indust
