The Ondo State Government, under the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has reassured residents of robust and comprehensive security measures put in place across the state as Christians celebrate Easter.

While extending warm felicitations to Christian faithful on the occasion of Easter, the government emphasised that the safety of lives and property remains its topmost priority.

According to the State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, extensive and coordinated security arrangements have been activated statewide to ensure a peaceful, secure, and hitch-free festive period.

He stated that security agencies have been strategically deployed, with continuous surveillance and intelligence gathering in place to forestall any breach of peace.

“These proactive measures are aimed at ensuring that residents and visitors alike celebrate in an atmosphere of calm and safety,” he said.

The government advised residents to remain vigilant and security-conscious at all times, urging them to promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to relevant security agencies.
It stressed that community cooperation remains vital in sustaining the prevailing peace and security across the state.

Furthermore, the government called on the people of Ondo State to continue to pray for peace, unity, and progress of the state and the nation at large.

Citizens were also encouraged to support and pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he advances the Renewed Hope Agenda towards national development and prosperity.

The Ondo State Government reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to protecting the lives and property of all residents, assuring that no effort will be spared in maintaining law and order before, during, and after the Easter celebrations.

The government also wished all Christian faithful a safe, peaceful, and fulfilling Easter celebration.
