..as ODSG moves to rehabilitate Oba-Afo-Idoani Road
As part of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s drive to improve infrastructure across Ondo State, the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, recently inspected the Oba-Afo-Idoani Road and a 5-kilometre road project in Idogun community for on-the-spot assessment ahead of their rehabilitation and reconstruction.
The inspection is in fulfilment of the Governor’s assurance to the people of the area of a quick intervention on the roads in 2026.
The Ondo State Government had earlier approved a 5-kilometre road project for each local government through their respective commissioners as part of efforts to promote grassroots development and give all residents of the state a sense of belonging.
Residents of Idogun and neighbouring communities were elated by the visit and trooped out in large numbers to welcome the Ministry of Infrastructure team.
They commended Governor Aiyedatiwa through the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, who hails from the area, for bringing development closer to the people.
The residents expressed optimism that the road project, when completed, would boost socio-economic activities in the area, noting that the poor condition of the road had previously discouraged travellers and affected the effective performance of professionals working in the community.
