..condoles with former LG Chairman, Fagoriola, over wife’s death
The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has mourned the death of the Chairman of Ilaje West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Chief Magnus Araulene, describing him as a dependable progressive and committed administrator.
Araulene, a lawyer by profession, died on Tuesday. Until his death, he served as chairman of the Ilaje West LCDA and was noted for his forthrightness and dedication to public service.
The condolence messages were contained in a statement issued by the Ondo State APC Publicity Secretary, Mr Alex Kalejaye after a meeting held in Akure on Wednesday at the State Secretariat.
The party expressed its condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, his political associates, and the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
Speaking at the meeting, the State Chairman of the party, Mr Ade Adetimehin, recalled the late Araulene’s contributions to the growth of the APC in Ondo State, particularly during the party’s struggle to wrest power from the opposition.
He described the deceased as a straightforward politician who remained sincere throughout his political career.
The State Executive Committee of the party also sympathised with a former Chairman of Akure North Local Government Area, Hon. Dele Fagoriola, over the death of his wife, Mrs Adeola Fagoriola.
According to the party, Mrs Fagoriola died after a brief illness.
Adetimehin urged the former council chairman to take heart and remain strong for the sake of the family, assuring him of the party’s support.
He added that the APC stood with the bereaved families and would do all that was necessary to support them during the difficult period.
